We manufacture slim-line aluminium roof lanterns to the millimetre and supply them direct — to builders, roofers and homeowners with their own fitter — at trade prices, delivered anywhere in the UK on our own transport.
A roof lantern is the fastest way to transform a flat-roof extension or orangery: light floods in from above, the room feels taller, and the kitchen everyone actually lives in stops feeling like the dark end of the house. The catch is usually the price — because most lanterns are sold through installers who add their margin to the product before they add their labour.
We remove that layer. As the manufacturer, we build your lantern in our Sutton Coldfield works and supply it straight to site. You tell us the external kerb size you need; we build to it exactly, and the frame arrives fully assembled, ready to glaze — no flat-pack of loose bars, no on-roof jigsaw. The glass units travel with it, cut to the same order.
Because we make every lantern to order, size is never a compromise. Popular footprints like 1000 × 1500 mm, 1500 × 3000 mm and 2000 × 4000 mm are everyday work for us, and anything in between — or beyond — is simply a different set of numbers on the same drawing.
Built for the upstand you actually have
Every lantern we quote is checked against your upstand. Give us the external kerb dimensions and we manufacture to suit, so the lantern lands on the upstand first time — no packing, no trimming, no awkward phone call from the roof. If you're still building the upstand, we'll tell you the sizes to build to; a timber upstand around 150 mm high, insulated and wrapped into your flat-roof covering, is the usual detail.
Glass that earns its keep
Standard supply is 28 mm double-glazed units, toughened for overhead safety, with a choice of self-cleaning coatings and solar-control tints — blue, neutral or clear. Solar control matters more on a lantern than anywhere else in the house: it keeps summer heat gain civilised while the low winter sun still does its job. Whole-lantern U-values from around 1.0 W/m²K are achievable depending on the glass specification you choose.
Any colour, inside and out
Anthracite grey (RAL 7016) outside with white inside is the runaway favourite, but the frames are powder-coated to order — so any RAL colour, dual colour, or matched to the rest of your glazing. Black and white are always available as standard.

What sizes of roof lantern can you make?
Any size, made to measure to the millimetre. Popular footprints run from 1000 × 1500 mm up to 2000 × 4000 mm, and larger or longer lanterns can be built as multi-section units. Send your external kerb sizes and we'll confirm the exact build.
Does the lantern arrive assembled?
Yes. The frame is delivered fully assembled and ready to glaze — not as a flat-pack kit — with the glass units supplied alongside it, cut to the same order. Most competent fitters have the frame down and glazed within a day.
What upstand do I need for a roof lantern?
A rigid, insulated upstand — usually timber — around 150 mm high, sized to the external kerb dimension of the lantern and weathered into your flat-roof covering. Tell us your upstand size and we build to it; if you haven't built it yet, we'll give you the sizes to build to.
Can I have different colours inside and outside?
Yes. Dual-colour powder coating is available on every lantern — anthracite grey outside with white inside is the most popular combination — and any RAL colour can be specified.
Do you deliver roof lanterns nationwide?
Yes. We deliver across the UK on our own transport, direct from our Sutton Coldfield works, which is how the frame arrives assembled and undamaged rather than couriered in pieces.
