THE SUPPLY-ONLY PROCESS

How supply-only ordering works

Supply-only is the way the trade has always bought: product direct from the manufacturer, installation by your own people. Here's the whole process, start to finish.

1. Send your sizes

Everything starts with dimensions. For doors and windows that means the structural opening — the brickwork aperture, width by height, measured in at least three places with the smallest figure noted. For roof lanterns it's the external kerb size of your upstand (or the size you plan to build it). Millimetres, always.

Send them through the enquiry form, over live chat, or call the works on 0800 088 6248. Photos of the opening help, and if you're not confident measuring, say so — we'll talk you through exactly what to check before anything gets made.

2. Get a clear trade price

We price your exact specification — sizes, configuration, colour, glass — and send it back in plain figures, usually the same working day. One price list for everyone: builders, fitters, shopfitters and homeowners with their own installer all buy at the same direct rate. If two configurations would both work (say, a 3-pane slider against a 5-panel bi-fold), we'll price both so the decision is yours.

3. We manufacture to order

On order confirmation, your job goes onto the shop floor at our works in Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield. Frames are cut, fabricated and powder-coated to your RAL colour; glass units are made to the same order. Lead times are quoted with your price and confirmed at order, so the delivery date your fitter plans around is one we've actually committed to.

4. Delivered on our own transport

We deliver nationwide on our own vehicles, direct from the factory. It costs us more than couriers and it's worth every penny: roof lantern frames arrive fully assembled and ready to glaze, door sets arrive square, and there's a driver at your kerbside who works for us, not a network. Someone able-bodied should be on site to help offload — glass is a two-person lift.

5. Your fitter installs

Every set is supplied complete — frames, glass, gaskets, cills, hardware — so a competent fitter has everything needed on day one. Fitting guidance is available for every product, and the works is on the phone if a question comes up mid-install. That's the quiet advantage of buying from the manufacturer: the people who made it are the technical support.

What supply-only saves you

A supply-and-fit price bundles three things: the product, the installation labour, and the installer's margin on the product. Supply-only strips out the third. You pay the factory for the product and your fitter for their labour — nothing stacked in between. On a large lantern or a full set of bi-folds, that difference is rarely small.

Who this suits

  • Builders and roofers pricing lanterns and doors into extensions and refurbs.
  • Window and door fitters who want manufacturer supply without a fabricator's minimums.
  • Shopfitters buying fabricated frontages to their own survey.
  • Homeowners with a trusted tradesperson already lined up.

If that's you, the next step is simple: get your sizes together and send them over.
